I personally watch a lot of Netflix, so over the years I’ve found quite a few shows that I’d recommend to others. Find the full list below 🙂
For a laugh:
How I Met Your Mother
A man tells his kids the story of how he met their mother (it’s not a short one). This show is really funny and has some great characters.
I just finished this series and can’t explain how much I love it. Each of the characters brings something special to the show, and it’s absolutely hysterical.
That ’70s Show
Who can say no to young Ashton Kutcher and Wilmer Valdarrama?!
For something clever:
If you like heartwarming shows that also feature rapid-fire conversations about topical and historical subjects, then you’ll love this one.
Personally, part of the reason I love this show so much is because it’s set in the UK and all the characters have such adorable accents.
For something intriguing:
It starts with a plane crash. After that, things get even crazier. I love all the sci-fi subplots and the character development throughout the series.
I’m sure you’ve heard of this one before. The child actors are phenomenal, and the premise is extremely intriguing.
Pretty Little Liars
This is a pretty cliche one, but I’m not ashamed to say I definitely got caught up in all the drama and mystery of this series.
House’s sarcasm and the way he and his team work together to solve medical mysteries are two reasons why I love this show.
This one’s pretty dark, but it’s so interesting you won’t be able to stop watching.
For something futuristic:
As the seasons go on, the premise becomes more and more fascinating. This is another one you won’t be able to stop watching.
This is a Netflix original filmed in Brazilian Portuguese, but it does have English audio and subtitles. There’s only one season so far, but it’s crazy good.
For something heartwarming:
At the end of the day, this is a show about a family that loves each other, and it’s a refreshing change from most shows out there.
All that drama, plus music? Yes please.
For something scary:
American Horror Story
Do I really need to say anything about this one?
This is the backstory of the classic horror movie Psycho, and it really gives you an insight to Norman’s psyche as well as his relationship with his mother.
Loosely based on the story of Mary, Queen of Scots, this drama is full of suspense, romance, and intrigue.
This is a telenovela (soap opera) about a teacher that accidentally gets involved with a student. Like most telenovelas, it’s pretty overdramatic, but it’s funny and interesting as well.
