MOTD 11/3/16: Soft Eyes and Red Lips

With my relaxed outfit and hair, I wanted my makeup to really make a statement. I opted for a simple yet defining eye look paired with my favorite red lipstick. Below, find all the products I used and a brief review of the products I didn’t mention yesterday. Soft Eyes and Red Lips

Contacts: I’m wearing Air Optix Colors in Gemstone Green. I love these because they look super natural. Whenever I tell people that my eyes are actually brown, they’re shocked!

Moisturizer: Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture

Eyeshadow Primer: Thank Me Later by Elizabeth Mott

Eyeshadow: I used my Urban Decay Ammo palette to create a soft look that still defined my eyes. I started out by applying the shade Smog to the crease and followed that up by pressing Maui Wowie onto my lid. Finally, I used Sin as an under-brow highlight. After finishing the rest of my makeup, I went in with Smog and a wet brush to define my lower lash line.

Primer: Today I ran out of my Ipsy sample of Gimme Good Face by Trust Fund Beauty, so I turned back to Smashbox’s Photo Finish Foundation Primer. It gives your foundation a smooth base and mattifies shine as well.

Lipstick: For the perfect red lip, I highly recommend Esque Cosmetics’s Liquid Matte Lipstick in Red Carpet. It applies easily, stays on all day, and doesn’t dry out your lips. The color is vibrant and eye-catching; it’s really a must-have.
